Non-plated items have inherent hue of silver characterized by soft andnatural impression whereas plated items have long-lasting sheen with moresophisticated and harder image.

Silver items can be tarnished due the nature silver when they are exposed to oxygen or sulfur. The purpose of white-plating is to prevent the tarnish by decreasing the contact of the item with oxygen. However, there is still a possibility that your necklace or bracelet tarnishes by particular substances. Also, when it tarnishes by those substances, it may look more smeared.

For these reasons, we recommend plating when it is for gift but not recommend plating when it will be a daily item.
